In August of 1919 Curly Lambeau and George Calhoun gathered together a group of young men and organized a football team - this was the bginning of the Green Bay Packers. Still a community based team, the Green Bay Packers, currently 12 time world champions, own more championships than any other team in NFL history; the team also won the first two Super Bowl championships in 1966 and 1967. During football season fans can catch the team playing a home game at Lambeau Field.
